Nonprofit produces designer clothes
What happens when you combine fashion design and a desire to empower women? That would be aDARable, a line of children's clothing designed by seven O'More College of Design students for the We Are Dar Project, a Hendersonville-based nonprofit that strives to provide economic opportunities to women in Third World countries.
The line of 15 bold and colorful garments will make its debut during the Franklin college’s 15th annual Eloise Student Fashion Show on May 10, but will eventually wend its way to Haiti, where women there will manufacture the line for boutiques in Tennessee.
